Since Matthieu Blazy took charge at Bottega Veneta, Jacob Elordi has been in the gang. He is a model for campaigns. He sits in the front row at most shows. And even before signing on the dotted line and becoming the Italian house’s newest ambassador, the actor was already a die-hard disciple of the brand’s intrecciato bags. So when he arrived in Venice, he arrived in a workwear ensemble from Bottega that isn’t even available to the public yet. Because of course!

At the Palazzo Van Axel, a 15th-century Gothic pile of bricks, the Salt burn star rocked the Grain de Poudre blouson. This handyman jacket is part of the spring 2025 collection and is made in Italy and features a straight collar and relaxed shoulders. He wore it completely unbuttoned and layered it over an all-white vest because, again, it was work clothes.

The Australian actor then topped the look off with a gray baseball cap from Paly Hollywood – a cult menswear label he seemingly can’t get enough of.

Bottega Veneta has always done classic tailoring very well. Even during the era of Daniel Lee and the seventeen-year reign of Tomas Maier, suits, trousers and ties have always been his thing. But under Blazy’s guidance, he’s not only mastered the things you might wear to work, he’s also mastered workwear. It’s fun. It’s experimental. And it is increased. If you’re going to spend your life in double-knee carpenter trousers, you want something that fits the bill, but still feels extra special for a night out in Venice. Jacob Elordi and Bottega Veneta are doing just that.
