Anees Bazmee is currently gearing up for the release of her much-awaited film – Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. The film starring Kartik Aaryan and Triptii Dimri is scheduled to hit the theaters on November 1. In a recent interview, the director revealed how he worked on the film despite suffering a serious leg injury.

In a conversation with ETimes, Anees Bazmee revealed that he worked on Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 while he was injured in his leg. He revealed that he fractured his leg and also underwent surgery. Bazmee said: “You could say I shot the film sitting on one leg (laughs). About a week or ten days before the movie aired, I had a major fracture in my leg and had to have surgery. Although doctors advised me to stay on bed rest for 4-6 months, we had already done all the preparation for the shoot and had announced Diwali as the release date. If I had delayed filming, we would have missed the date.

The director continued to say that he wanted to work on the film because he believed he would not be able to recover quickly if he stayed at home. He said he shot half of the film while sitting in a chair. Bazmee said: “I also thought that if I stayed at home I would not recover quickly. My decision to start filming shocked everyone. I was in a lot of pain, but we managed and I finished more than half the movie sitting in my chair.

The third installment of the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise is one of the most anticipated releases of the year. Dimri is the latest addition to the franchise, and Vidya Balan will reprise her role as Manjulika in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. The film will clash with Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again at the box office.
