Paul Heaton has announced a big show in Sheffield with Lightning Seeds and Shed Seven – find all the details below.

The singer-songwriter and former Housemartins frontman will headline the city’s Bramall Lane stadium – home of his beloved Sheffield United FC – on Sunday, May 25, 2025, marking one of his biggest solo headline performances to date .

Heaton will perform on stage alongside his live band and special guest singer Rianne Downey. Support comes from Lightning Seeds and Shed Seven.

According to a press release, the upcoming concert has “huge personal significance” for Heaton – who has supported Sheffield United since he was a boy, and also lived in the Steel City during his youth.

Tickets go on general sale this Friday (October 11) at 9.30am BST, priced at £39.50 (plus booking fee). You can buy yours here. Alternatively, fans can gain access to a pre-sale by signing up here.

Heaton’s new solo album, ‘The Mighty Multiple’, produced by Lightning Seeds frontman Ian Broudie, will also be released this Friday. In November he embarks on a UK headline tour with The Zutons, while Lightning Seeds open for him in Manchester.

In other news, it was recently announced that Heaton will appear at the Isle Of Wight Festival next year. Justin Timberlake, Sting and Stereophonics will headline the 2025 edition.

This summer, Heaton took to the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury 2024, where he was joined by both Rianne Downey and former Housemartins bandmate Norman Cook (aka Fatboy Slim).
