After a tumultuous offseason that saw Stefon Diggs traded to the Houston Texans, he faced his former team for the first time on Sunday, leading the Texans to a 23-20 victory over the Buffalo Bills.

On the opposing side was Diggs’ former teammate, quarterback Josh Allen, who had a shaky performance, completing just 9 of 30 passes for 131 yards and one touchdown.

At the conclusion of the game, Allen searched the field for Diggs and embraced his former four-year teammate.

“I got a lot of love for him. I still do,” Allen told reporters in regards to Diggs this past week. “The things he did for me in my career and the things he did in a Buffalo Bill uniform won’t be forgotten anytime soon, especially from me.”

In the victory, Diggs recorded six receptions for 82 yards, while his new quarterback, CJ Stroud, completed 28 of 38 passes for 331 yards, one touchdown, and one interception.

Next Sunday the Bills will travel to MetLife Stadium to play against the New York Jets and the Texans will travel to Gillette Stadium to face the New England Patriots.
