The next game for the Houston Texans isn’t easy. They will host the Buffalo Bills at NRG Stadium in Week 5 in a game that will help prove the level of play the Texans have.

Houston builds on a narrow 24-20 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. It was a game the Texans should have won much more handily, although the lack of a rushing attack hampered the team’s offensive performance.

The team won’t see Joe Mixon return to the field yet and Dameon Pierce is questionable for the matchup, so Texans running back Cam Akers will once again have to carry a heavier load in the backfield.

Defensive linemen Derek Barnett and Jerry Hughes have both also been ruled out for the Week 5 game.

Many limited entries returned from practice, and the Texans’ once lofty injury report became a little more encouraging on Friday. While only two players have been ruled out for the Bills, five players are listed as questionable.

The Texans didn’t quite resemble the team they seemed capable of before the season. Injuries have certainly hurt, but Houston has the ability to improve to 4-1 this season if they take care of the Bills while playing in their home stadium.

While Mixon will miss the game and Pierce could do so again, Tank Dell’s return to the lineup is quite big for the Texans’ offense.
