Francis Ngannou left Piers Morgan laughing after discussing a fight between himself and Mike Tyson.

Ngannou is one of the most formidable power punchers in combat sports, having reigned as a UFC heavyweight champion during his prime.

The Cameroonian star has also recently transitioned to the boxing ring where he bravely fought Tyson Fury last October before being knocked out by Anthony Joshua in March.

Naturally, given his ferocious punching, the 38-year-old has been compared and contrasted with heavyweight legend Tyson, and even pitted against each other in a fantasy fight.

In a new interview, TV host Morgan asked how ‘The Predator’ thinks he would face Tyson first in the squared circle.

He replied: “If it’s not about boxing, I think he’ll have a hard time, but if it’s about boxing, then I’ll have a hard time.”

Morgan chuckled, clearly finding it amusing that he could say that with such bravado.

The host then posed the question again, but asked how he would fare in a street fight with Tyson.

He then added, “Oh no, he’s struggling.”

The quick comment sent Morgan into hysterics as he burst out laughing.

He then concluded, “I wish I could say that about fighting Mike Tyson on the street.”

Tyson grew up in the street fights of Brooklyn before his boxing career took off, and there aren’t many people who want to take on the biggies.

During his heyday, the popular operator reigned as undisputed champion, battling Lennox Lewis, Larry Holmes, Evander Holyfield and Frank Bruno.

He had a seriously impressive KO ratio and is one of the most feared fighters to ever enter the sport.

But Ngannou himself is seriously feared, having broken the world record for the hardest punch on the PowerKube punching machine.

His record-breaking pop knows no bounds, and he even dropped Fury in his boxing debut, threatening to pull off one of the biggest upsets in history.

Ngannou and Tyson are friends from their respective careers, with the pair regularly exchanging pleasantries at events.

It even led to ‘Iron Mike’ stepping in and training Ngannou for the clash with Fury in the ring, an incredible combination.

Tyson himself is set to return against Jake Paul on November 15 at the age of 58, and Ngannou insists the framework for fighting is still in place.

“He’s definitely not the same as he was when he was young,” he predicted.

“But when he walks around and shows you something, I’m like, ‘What the hell is this?’

“So I think there’s something people don’t understand about Mike Tyson: his footwork is still there.

“He can move from side to side in the blink of an eye.”
