Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark had fun at one of her former Iowa women’s basketball teammates – all while making it clear which NFL team she supports.

Current Iowa Hawkeyes baller Gabbie Marshall was at Paycor Stadium this past NFL Sunday rooting on her favorite team, the Cincinnati Bengals.

Clark, who decided to post something in support of her teammate, put a photo of Marshall up on her Instagram story and added a cheeky caption to it.

‘spirit animal @gabbie.marshall,’ Clark wrote before adding, ‘Go Chiefs’.

Now, the Chiefs and the Bengals weren’t playing each other on Sunday – but the teams have shared a budding rivalry in recent years.

Clark has been to many Chiefs games before – even seen swapping jerseys with Rashee Rice

This season, the Chiefs got the upper hand on Cincinnati – winning by a single point in an enthralling 26-25 game.

Unfortunately for Marshall, her presence didn’t bring the hoped good luck – as Cincinnati lost to the division rival Baltimore Ravens 41-38 in overtime.

Even after recovering a fumble by Baltimore, Bengals kicker Evan McPherson missed a field goal wide. A clutch play by running back Derrick Henry saw the Ravens set up – and convert – a 24-yard field goal for a victory.

Clark has been open about her support for the Chiefs multiple times in the past – having shown up to games while she was at Iowa – even swapping jerseys with star wideout Rashee Rice.

Not only that, but the Chiefs came out in support of Clark when she took Iowa to the Final Four – sharing a picture of the Iowa star while she was a child.

‘You cheered for us. Now it’s our turn,’ the team wrote in their post at the time. ‘All of Chiefs Kingdom is rooting for you tonight.’

Kansas City currently sits at 4-0 on the season and plays on Monday Night Football against the New Orleans Saints.
