The internet is downright obsessed with Moo Deng, the baby hippopotamus. This little superstar has taken the world by storm after images of her went viral, and now other baby animals are following in her footsteps. One of those babies is Biscuits the seal, a temporary resident of the Vancouver Marine Mammal Rescue in Canada. This precious seal pup is already on the road to recovery (and being released back into the wild!) but not before stealing millions of hearts with her baby face.

Harbor seals are also called common seals, but there is nothing common about this big-eyed beauty! Check out her adorable Oct. 1 TikTok video that made Biscuits famous virtually overnight!

OMG–she’s cute! This baby seal has the same color and shape as Moo Deng, so it only makes sense that they would be friends. Biscuits’ rehabilitators at the Marine Animal Rehabilitation Center saw her potential for internet fame, and they deserve a raise for making it possible.

Meanwhile, the sweet Canadian seal pup has no idea what happened! She was so focused on her own growth and recovery that she barely noticed her 15 million new fans. Biscuits was first brought to the wildlife sanctuary in early August after she was found separated from her mother. She was in a precarious area near a yacht club with heavy boat traffic, but was quickly brought to safety. She will soon be released back into the wild together with other seals. Thanks to her selfless rescuers!

This baby animal’s new fans can’t get enough of her huge, sparkly eyes, but the heart-shaped tag takes the cuteness factor to a whole new level. This is the rescue’s non-invasive way of identifying their seal pups, although it wasn’t really necessary until they joined other seals in a new pool. She’s growing up so quickly and we’ve only known her for a few days!

Baby animal adoption

While Biscuits has earned her time in the spotlight, she isn’t the first adorable baby animal to do so. It all started with Moo Deng, the baby hippopotamus from a Thai zoo, but it has developed into a phenomenon that no one complains about.

“She’s being called to the Rotund table!” responded @jime85. “Pesto, Moo Deng, Cookies, Hua Hua unite! The shape is round and the knowledge is cute.” You can say that again! These baby animals are all adorable, chubby icons, and they’re all basking in their hard-earned glory.

It’s hard to complain when your social media is filled with baby animals, and I know I’m not the only one who likes to add Cookies to the list!
