In video games, fights are a lot of parts that need to work together to give players the satisfaction of a big blow. That’s why Indiana Jones and the Great Circle developer MachineGames made sure everything came together to make the fistfights impactful.

Speaking to Edge magazine, design director Jens Andersson recounts how the team at MachineGames was working on first-person fist-fighting 20 years ago. “This isn’t the first time this team has entered the arena of first-person fist-fighting. When the core of MachineGames was working on Starbreeze, they earned praise for doing the same thing with The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay.”
