3 dead, 2 critical after fiery crash on I-10 near New Mexico

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Three people are dead, and two are in critical condition after a crash involving a tractor-trailer on I-10 near the New Mexico State line Saturday.

Just after 5 pm, Arizona DPS responded to a two-vehicle crash on the westbound I-10 in San Simon, Arizona.

Three passengers in the vehicle were killed, and two others were critically injured.

The tractor-trailer caught on fire during the crash. The tractor-trailer driver’s condition is unknown.

The westbound lanes are shut down until further notice.
