In an incredible twist, cricketer MS Dhoni had a fresh cameo in Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘GOAT’. No, Dhoni did not act in the film. However, a segment had him playing an IPL match and then Vijay also appeared on screen.

MS Dhoni’s cameo in ‘GOAT’ lasted for a few seconds. But it was enough to make the audience cheer and cheer. It should also be noted that both Vijay and Dhoni are called ‘Thala’ by their fans.

While Dhoni is a global personality, it is worth noting that he enjoys a cult status in Chennai as he has been associated with the IPL team CSK since its inception. Thalapathy Vijay’s much-awaited film ‘GOAT’ (The Greatest of All Time) had a solo release across India on September 5, 2024. The film, directed by Venkat Prabhu, is significant as it will likely be Vijay’s penultimate project before he transitions into a full-time political career. He has already launched his political party, Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam, and is gearing up to contest the Tamil Nadu state elections in 2026.

‘GOAT’ features Vijay in dual roles, one as the hero and the other as the villain. The film has an all-star cast including Prashanth, Prabhudheva and Sneha, with music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
