Isco not expected to return to Real Betis before 2025

Earlier this week, it was confirmed that Isco is set to undergo a second operation on the leg injury he suffered in May. The 32-year-old has been recovering for 3.5 months and despite hopes of being able to return soon, his sideline will now be significantly extended.

According to Relevo, Betis are devastated by the news that they will be without their talisman for longer than expected. He will go under the knife in the coming days and is likely to be out for 3-4 months, although the exact date of his return has not been set as the Verdiblancos do not want to put additional pressure on Isco.

It seems highly unlikely that Isco will return before the winter break, meaning a return to action in 2025 is the likely outcome. Betis will be determined to get him back 100% as soon as possible, although they do have new signing Giovani Lo Celso who can fill in in his absence.
