Los Angeles Sparks vs. Indiana Fever

INDIANPOLY– Indiana Fever won their fifth straight game on Wednesday night, beating the Los Angeles Sparks 93-86.

The Fever’s Caitlin Clark recorded her second triple-double of the season by scoring 24 points, dishing out 10 assists and grabbing 10 rebounds.

Odyssey Sims hit a three-pointer to pull within three of the Fever at 87-84, but the Sparks were held scoreless for 1:35 after that. Clark sealed the win with two free throws, then grabbed the game’s final rebound on a miss by Kia Nurse. The crowd jumped to their feet to applaud Clark, knowing she had secured the triple-double.

Aliyah Boston had a double-double with 24 points and 10 rebounds for the Fever. Kelsey Mitchell (18 points) and Nalyssa Smith (13 points) rounded out Indiana’s double-figure scoring.

Sims led the Sparks with 20 points and six assists. The Sparks fell to 7-26 with the loss while the Fever improved to 18-16.

The Fever clinched their first playoff spot in eight years on Tuesday night, going 7-1 since returning from the Olympic break.

Indiana’s next game is Friday night against the 24-9 Minnesota Lynx, starting at 7:30 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
